La Reserve is a test ground, a pop up act, an ongoing side project teasing out existing relationships between multiple disciplines, economies, places, objects, and individuals. Investigating the artist’s studio and how it differs from commonly held productive spaces it looks further into architectural forms of production, display and storage as well as exploring notions around the artist’s studio as a place of fabrication, dissemination, and commodification. It morphs through a series of events and conversations usually taking place in, and broadcasted from, the studio.
The first online iteration of La Reserve (Morning Shift / Afternoon Shift / Night Shift) includes images and sound pieces made in the Project studio at Temple Bar Gallery+Studios, Dublin, Ireland. Each piece aims to capture and generate a sense of where La Reserve is taking place by reflecting on the action of spending time and the state of being latent in relation to self-contained spaces.
